Sorta spoilers for 3x14 - Peter's job/education

So, after a bit of research, I'd say that Peter's nursing education was at the very least a BSN or possibly starting working on an MSN, because in NYC a Paramedic is an EMT-4 level (the highest EMT position) and requires something like 2 years of training! Since he's doing the job after only 2 months and obviously isn't being treated like a 'probie', he's got to have already had a lot of the education.

Of course, it could also be the writers have their heads up their asses again -- these ARE the same people who thought it would be okay to smash a cabinet full of virus samples with NO ill effects.

We really shouldn't expect them to follow Real World logic anywhere. However, I'm going to say that my boy has had some fairly extensive training until/unless the writers say definitively otherwise.

I know that Peter could have gotten away with an Associates in Nursing to work in a hospital (though I'm not completely sure if that's true in NY - don't know their criteria). However, I don't figure he would have only been satisfied with an associates (nor would dad have been touting it at the party, even if he couldn't say nurse). So, I suspect he has a BSN at the very least.

Yeah -- and I didn't look up working as a private hospice nurse, so he could be required to have the BSN already. But being an actual Paramedic instead of "just" an EMT gives me at least some kind of firm guidelines. (And amazingly, it's actually something someone his age could do without having the ridiculous Marty Stu background of some folks... *cough*Kristen in P:TL*cough*)
