Overdue icon meme

From lots of folks, a while ago. I had to get certain screencaps and finish the icons from them before I could post it!
Comment on this post. I will choose five userpics from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along. Or, you know, you can pick five of mine and ask me about them. I'm not picky.

This is Peter's 'Heroic' icon -- it's the one I use when he's being heroic or feeling strong and/or confident. Not something that seems to happen too often, but he does have his moments. It gets used a lot when he's tossing around ideas of how they can help save the world...

This is Peter's ultimate 'optimist' icon -- I use it when he's putting his trust in someone or when he's believing the best of people. I hope I still get chances to use it in the current season, or it might end up being RP only...

One of Peter's 'dead' icons -- this one is right before Claire finds the glass in his head, if I'm not mistaken. I just love the colouring and the soft lighting in the icon -- it's very pretty for a 'dead' icon. I actually have no idea when I'd use it, since it's hard to comment or post when you're dead...

Yay! Brand new as of today, and from the fratricide scene. Obviously, this is going to be a bad!Peter icon, although I really hope I don't have to use it too often. I like optimistic, hopeful Peter... However, he is kind of hot in that picture.

Another 'heroic' icon, with Peter saving Nathan after nearly irradiating him to death. I haven't actually had a chance to use it yet, and now it might take on some new meaning, because Peter needs rescuing, too... I like the way the light effect kind of looks like sparks flying around them.

First, the quintessential Kirby Plaza icon -- Peter was fully ready to sacrifice himself to keep from killing everyone. This is that readiness -- he's on one side of the icon, with Claire carrying the gun on the other side. In the centre is the flame coming off his hand, representing the power to be dealt with. If she had shot him then, he would not have blamed her in any way. Anything that was necessary to stop him would have been acceptable.

This is a Petrellicest icon that has SO much more interpretation than it did at the time the scene was aired.
At the time it aired, it was a dream/nightmare of Peter's where Nathan turned out to be Sylar -- Peter had JUST met Sylar and didn't know him beyond the evil that was trying to kill Claire. Now, in S3, it has a HUGELY different meaning. Sylar IS his brother, just as Nathan is, and this icon is the tie between all three of them. It's actually a little freaky, since I originally meant it as a Peter/Nathan icon, and now it could so easily go the other way, or even mean all three...

This is Peter's 'sexy' icon -- we're totally ignoring the canon scene here. This is his 'hi, sexy' icon for Claude/Adam/Nathan/fill-in-the-blank.

Peter never expected Bennet to be an ally. This is a bit of a surprise for him, but it can be very literal, meaning 'something unexpected', or it can be his 'interacting with Bennet' icon. He was perfectly willing to sacrifice himself to keep Claire and all others involved at Kirby in one piece. This represents that determination. But it also gets used in those 'weird' situations where something he isn't expecting happens. It also gets used when he interacts with Bennet, for obvious reasons.
Randomly, Damn, he's short...

Peter's 'Potential' icon. This is Peter at the beginning of the series, with everything ahead of him. He can be SO much, everything is open to him. Even now, at the beginning of S3, he can be so much. All he has to do is be able to control the darkness inside himself and embrace the possibilities. One hopes he's able to do so (and that the writers don't crap out on him).
