Meta - Sylar abilities

So, according to Kring, it looks like Sylar should only have telekinesis out of his original abilties from S1/2? I don't know if I buy it, but here's the link I saw:

Personally, I think once he was healed, he got back everything he had before the virus. But what do I know, I'm not writing the show. (Even if I can tell time FAR better than the writers can...)

Yeah, that's apparently what's going on. Not sure if it's true, but that's why in any of the canon prompts I've written lately, I've tried to limit him to his telekinesis. I haven't flat out said that that's all he has, because I'm not sure I buy it either, but I figured I'd sort of dance around it, until we know one way or another.

In the verse that we have that Arthur's dead, he has all his powers back, though. Mostly because the poor boy Does Not Want, and Adam's not dead, and Mohinder's not buggy, so he figure he can get away with it.

I kind of wondered if the various kills flashing in his eye at Kirby was a "reset" -- although it doesn't explain him having all of the abilities in the future either. I think it may have been something they intended, but because it wasn't clearly stated other writers went with what they knew? Or, in other words, as usual they got SLOPPY...

I have no problems with the way things are in that 'verse, considering I'm so peeved at canon stuff at this point already! :)

It might have been? I didn't think of that, actually. Though, I was more assuming it was some result of the virus, rather than anything else. And that the reason he kept his telekinesis was, perhaps, because he got that empathically--as well as through his aptitude--judging by the guilt trip/trying to kill himself thing. And I was guessing that, the reason he had all of his powers in the IABD future was because he picked up all his old abilities again through contact with future!Peter.

I'm more than willing to buy that they're just being sloppy, though. It makes the muse happier, and it's not like the writers are known for knowing their own time lines. Or sticking to the things they've already established. Stupid writers. *eyeroll*
